DnA ToolSM

The data and analysis tool (DnA ToolSM) is an answer to the question: “How do you write a comprehensive report that has value at all levels in the organization and allows the analyst to quickly and directly go to data and analysis that are pertinent to him or her?” And, it answers this question at all levels in the organization and for all interest groups.

What is the DnA ToolSM?

The DnA ToolSM contains all of the data obtained from a survey and a comprehensive analysis of the data. It is an interactive tool that can be used to drill down into the survey results database to view data, analysis and respondent comments according to parameters that are important to the analyst.

Microsoft Excel®

The DnA ToolSM is a software program built upon a Microsoft Excel® platform. The advantages of using Excel® to deploy survey results are:

  • Excel® is widely used. People do not have to install customized software to view and analyze the results of their survey.

  • Excel® is easy to deploy. Excel® files are easy to e-mail and can be displayed on the the Intranet or intranet.

  • Learning to use the DnA ToolSM is straightforward. Excel® is familiar to many people, and the DnA ToolSM looks and behaves like a website.

Drill-down Analysis

The DnA ToolSM provides thousands, perhaps millions of data and analysis views. The analyst makes the choice of what is important, not the survey provider.

  • Written reports and presentations that contain all, or most, views of data and information collected during a survey could be huge. These reports and presentations may fail because of the sheer volume of information and inability of the analyst to quickly find the answers that are important to him or her.

  • Summary reports may fail because analysis is based on what the survey provider believes is important. While we learn a great deal about our clients’ businesses, products and services, we do not pretend to have the years of knowledge or the wisdom of our clients.

Continuous Improvement

The DnA ToolSM facilitates the principals of continuous improvement, an important consideration when measuring customer satisfaction. The presentations of analysis and data allow the analyst to quickly identify the attributes that have the least satisfaction. The analyst can then confidently prepare action plans and initiate improvement programs. Action plans and improvement programs can be tailored to specific locations within the company; one size doesn’t fit all.

Employee Ownership

Marketing research and customer satisfaction surveys are not always the most important action item on everyone’s list. When management involves the organization in survey preparation, analyzing survey results, and preparing individual improvement plans, ownership is created in the process and the outcome is more likely to succeed.
